I am very unhappy that the French lost, the British don't respect us. They keep making laws on how we have to adapt to their ways of life. Though Governor James Murray seems to be the only on that treats us fairly, in fact he seems to favour us. The British merchants get mad every time us french are given rights. Unfortunately Governor James went back to England and they replaced him with Sir Guy Carleton. We were a little scared that he would take away all the rights that Murray gave us, but strangely he didn't. He treated us the same way that Murray did i think the British were causing more trouble then us. Carleton was great, in 1774 the Quebec act was passed witch cancelled all assimilation goals
